Our History

With 30 years in the industry, we’re proud to have delivered

1979 - 1997

Tower Window cleaning was first founded in 1979 by Garry Lewis. Originally named G.L. Cleaning, due to the trend of the era, Garry soon proved his value to the industry by single handily competing and successfully winning exclusive tenders around Melbourne including RMIT (city campus) and numerous hospitals.

Michael Lewis, Garry’s son, joined the team in 1997. He quickly learned all aspects of the business’ operations from Garry and also developed lasting relationships with a vast array of Facility Management professionals throughout the city of Melbourne.

2014 - 2020

In 2014, Michael transitioned into the role of Managing Director of Tower Window Cleaning with a belief that the presentation of each building reflects the standards and aspirations of each owner, manager, customer and visitor within. By 2017, Tower Window Cleaning’s operation had expanded to include The Oaks Group Melbourne CBD Asset Portfolio, The MFM asset Portfolio and EVT Melbourne’s QT Hotel as a part of Event Hospitality and Management. The landmark TNG building was tendered for successfully in late 2019. Rydges Hotel Group and La Trobe University were added to the portfolio in 2020.
